This is wrong. It's not a corrupted ifrit at all. Belias was said to be an elder primal in that quest.Like Tupsi said, Belias is not an entity in this game. Belias is the name the developers decided to give the corrupted manifestation of the Ifrit-Egi that summoner called using his newly acquired dark powers. Imagine the real name was "Corrupted Ifrit-Egi", but develpment was nice and decided to actually named it something.
"Belias is a twisted version of Ifrit essentially. He may sound different in Lore"
As I said, if SE truly cared about the lore, he would have had a unique appearance rather than being an obviously twisted version of Ifrit. Remember, much like in FFXI, there can be "alternate" versions of something (or even someone) thanks to Atomos's existence, which between both games actually share a similar theme, so until we know more, who's to say Belias isn't an Elder Ifrit from another land and ifrit is just a 'minion'? There can be multiple Primal per element, some being higher up than others.
The main problem with this, is the whole damn egi thing to begin with.
I think 50% of the models in the games are recycling, why a monster for one job quest ( so not a quest that everyone will do ) would have a unique model?

I take your statement and raise you "why give summoned pets (Egis) a unique appearence when there are already full-form models and not everyone will play Summoner?" The reason why they do this to certain mobs is to reduce development time, however, usually during main story lines (such as that of the SMN job) they will use unique models. I have done the 50 job quests for DRG, MNK, and WAR, and although DRG and WAR are covered with masks, the MNK npc was a unique character that is unlikely to ever be seen again outside that quest chain (or related quests) in the future.
