Shhh you'll get the butthurt legacy players (Goobue uproar lmao) on your case about how newer people like me dont deserve to fight him :P

Speak for yourself. I want them to do a Nael van Darnus fight, as a legacy player.
I've zero care whether or not it was a 1.0 Exclusive. It's content, and good content from my memory. It's something they can share, honestly, and I wouldn't get upset. In fact, I'd get excited.

I wouldn't say you don't deserve to fight him, but falling back on older content would be a bad decision in the long run. I'd rather them work on new content, storylines and whatnot instead of bring back something from 1.0 solely because some people can't let go of nostalgia.
On the plus side, battling Nael without the horrible latency between client and server in 1.0 would be very doable, but as I already said: out with the old, in with the new.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Well don't forget SE can always pull the return from the dead thing that some antagonist always end up pulling and have us fight Nael in a future Main Story Scenario content since Coil storyline is just the prequel to a future Main Story Scenario.I wouldn't say you don't deserve to fight him, but falling back on older content would be a bad decision in the long run.
