No, there is no hope for this. They promised it as a 1.0 exclusive and that is how it should stay. Last thing we need is more promises broken. It is part of the 6AE storyline and is not going to be repeated.

1.0s combat system is gone, both mechanically and cosmetically. We'd have no Sacred Prism, no Sanguine Rite, no Lunar Curtains, no Battle Voice HP boost, etc. etc.

1.0s White Raven would stay exclusive because 1.0 is gone, difficult logic to follow, I know. Heck, I don't even remember them saying it would be exclusive; they said the storyline was exclusive and we'd never get to replay it, but taking a single fight (The Raven, Nevermore wasn't even story related...) hardly breaks the rock solid verbal contract Yoshida is known for making (2.0 wont be released! *except for Crystal Tower and a load of other features!).

Anyone who would make an uproar over this would be a complete and utter fool. If it gets added, it has no negative impact on anyone; people who played 1.0s story still played 1.0s story, people who enjoyed The White Raven get to enjoy it in glorious 2.0, people who never played 1.0 get to experience the culmination of that game. If anything, that's just going to make them go "I'm so jelly that I didn't get to do this before!" than whatever negative implication people like you want to make up...

You'd be "butthurt" too if you were promised something exclusive and then they went and gave it to everyone else.

Only if I were a sad individual who thought 'things' my characters have in an MMO matter to anyone but me .. and yes, I have this mount on my main character on Hyperion, I got it by simply walking to somewhere outside Limsa and talking to an NPC, it was sooooooooooooooooooooo hard and epic.

It would be fun if they can make it make sense - Those who didn't play 1.23, I'm not sure how the minstrel can "recall" a battle you never took part in. Yoshi was pretty clear it was exclusive battle to 1.23 and if you beat Turn 5 it wouldn't make much sense either. Heck, the people who didn't even touch FFXIV 1.x at all I'm not sure how the Minstrel can tell the tale of your battle you never had.

Then again, Yoshi contradicts everything he states so maybe it will return but I'd sooner see a retelling of Gaius than a boss of a storyline that no longer is present in the game unless there's another Dalamud floating around and he's trying to harness it to cleanse Eorzea again.

i'm pretty sure a minstrel can recall a tale of a fight that you were not in.

the only difference would be instead of recalling the fight in your memories, your listening to the recount of the fight and asking yourself "how would i go about doing this?"

cause even if SE rereleases the fight itll just be a watered down fight so the casuals can beat it.

I don't think they could make it the exact same fight with the combat mechanics they have now, which is a shame it was a fun fight. I liked it better than any of the ARR fights so far. I'd love to see it again though assuming they can do it justice, I'm pretty sure they said they wouldn't though.

Would I enjoy another White Raven battle? The answer is yes.

Would it affect my 1.0 battle? No. Just like the new moogle fight, however faceroll it is, cannot make me forget the fun I had wiping on moogles in 1.0.

If it makes people happy, why not?

However, if they did indeed promise that it would be exclusive, then they should stick to it. If they don't, no skin off my nose though.

I'd like to see the fight in ARR's engine with ARR's mechanics, White Ravens got downgraded to a vanity piece that you can only see if you zoom in anyway. It's not like stuff is that exclusive anymore, just like with the new dailies Goobbue, it's ok it's got flowers instead of a rug see we totally kept our promise it's original do not steal.
