The shield won't but if the heal hit you on Inc it will. Or better yet the AOE heal on everyone right as you pulled. Shield part is part 2 of succor part 1 is aoe heal.oh yes, bloodbath is a good idea, thanks. I will at that to my rotations.
But I still don't understand how a SCH can pull aggro right after a shieldlob. I didn't even got hit by the boss nor did I have the chance to hit the boss with another skill, because of the distance and GCD..
I'd just read that succor won't generate enmity until the tank has taken any damage, so it could not be succor.
Was it the SCH or their fairy? Only ever had this happen on a pull if I had Regen or Whispering dawn up prior to pull. Otherwise there's no problem.
For the SCH to be getting hate they're doing something after the pull instead of prior. A lot of people think that it's "Insta-Hate" for Tanks.
EDIT: Another thing to note is that Overhealing is 2x the enmity of normal healing.
So if you have a SCH casting Succor when everyone is at full HP and after the pull that's a lot of enmity. Especially if you're critting for something close to 1k per person.

Peope don't care, that's the only problem.
A tank won't die a second after pull, so there is no need for healing right after the first attack lands (especially if pre buffed with stoneskin and adloquium).
Also, DDs don't have to start their rotations with all damage buffs active.
There is only so much a tank can do in such a short ammount of time to build as much hate as he can.
Especially during the pull phase of a fight, hate management is very important and all party members can help with it.
Giving your tank a few seconds before going all out doesn't hurt anyone.
If 3 seconds mean the difference between win and wipe, maybe that group is just not ready for the fight.
Disable your dps/hps parsers and use some common sense.
Sounds like a Succor.
Healing 8 people will generate more enmity than a shield lob by far.
Bad timing on the Scholars part from what I can see always Succor before Shield Lob.
I play for fun, if you don't like it don't play it.
I would put money on the idiot succoring too late, or for some reason hitting whispering dawn. Even a WHM shouldn't pull hate that quick.I don't know all the skills from a scholar since my main is PLD and sub WHM (just reached lvl 50). But I do know that the Scholar always start with a shield thing that generates HP and reduces DMG for 25/30 seconds, which could be Succor or Adloquium. Does it generate enmity?
Yes, they really don't care. All they do is blaming me for not gaining enmity.Peope don't care, that's the only problem.

Most of the DD's don't even pay attention to their enmity bar. All they do is instantly hitting all the CD's and telling me that they are doing their job "this is a DPS race".
reply "use quelling strikes idiots" to them
no matter ho many CD's i burn at start QS takes care of enmity for me
I can't tell if it was the SCH or his fairy, cause all I do is rushing to the boss and trying to get the aggro back.
I guess I should watch the battle logg next time this happens.
If the SCH doesn't have it's fairy on Obey. There's a chance it'll cast Fey/Whispering Dawn as soon as you pull which will instantly grab aggro.
Why not provoke and toss a few shields, if it's anything but regen or whispering dawn then you will have control. I'm kinda shocked to see 2 pages of replies and the only real answer given was use bloodbath.
