    The part of the game that feels wrong right now probably more than anything is oddly enough the extreme content. It's pretty unpractical to try and apex gear multiple jobs to the point of handling the extreme content, meaning in order to get to do the content players must focus into a specific role. This was already the case before patch 2.1 with AF +1, but with the inclusion of the patch the situation has only grown worse. That and FFXIV ARR really shouldn't be hosting nightmare difficulty exclusive content. It's going to foster community face smashing and divide everyone up into cliques just like it has in every other game it has been introduced to.

    Seriously taking a step back and looking at the situation, there is something very wrong with people getting to the point that they can't take new players to content without having them watch 20+ minute boss tutorials, and then even boot said new players if they mess up more than three times. Is this really what we want the community to come down to? People smashing each others face in with sledge hammers because nightmare content is the end game standard?

    Then there also is the problem that the core game doesn't emphasize a need for specific cross class skills, such as provoke or swift cast, so there are plenty of players that come to the end of the game and are forced to learn they need them through the school of hard knox. (Namely, entering a fight that requires boss swapping in the case of provoke, then getting berated by the group for not having it).

    you know if i have 1 arguement about anthing even though i 100% agree with this post. Its the people wanting Cross Class abilities. I know why you want it, but could you imagine a Blm with Cleric stance. People already complained that blm does to much dmg which is stupid cause thats the trade of for being a Mage job you have less hp and way less defense than a melee job you should have a higher dmg output. But the trade off for melee is more hp and def but also more utility purposes of a mage. But i digress People say they want it to be unique, which sadly wouldn't make the game any more unique at all. Every would just pic the abilities that make X Job better, which it really wouldn't cause think about the job system 5 abilities of the one job outweigh ALL those other abilities otherwise we would see Gld instead of Pld etc.

    The irony of your post amuses me. You continue to let the point of what I'm saying sail above your head. They need to make us want to do fates. People would do fates if something other than xp was awarded from them and weren't instead used as a means of getting that next level while you wait for a dungeon to pop. Fates above 40 should drop something worthwhile then people would do them, instead you have exactly what you posted a fate with a timer that will expire because there is no reason to do that fate instead of fate spams in Coerthas.

    Ps - the example i gave which i mentioned was something I thought of on the fly in less than 30 seconds, yet you still feel the need to call the mechanic silly. You offer nothing useful to this conversation, please contribute or find another post to muck up.

    How is crafting not worth it in some regards now? When I hit 50 my friend crafted me an epic sword and shield for about 80-90k in mats that is near as good as relic. Nothing better in the game until then. Imo it seems a little OP. Not sure if you can do this with armor but it wasn't even expensive. Took him an hour or so to collect a few things also through gathering.

    Considering Cleric Stance switched MND with INT, it would be hardly broken. :P

    Not sure if I missed something earlier, but all this would do is turn BLM into an incredibly gimped WHM/BLM. No enhancement would come from this as a cross-class ability.
