Pointless Crafting?

I'd suggest you go back to the market board and take another look, Cooking is arguably the highest profit craft. I still make money from Weaver, Alchemist and Goldsmith, it's not even hard, just synth what makes profit and don't expect to make 50k per synth. My only other 50 at the moment is Carpenter and you got me there, it's hard to make money with that craft due to a shortage of good synths and the fact that every serious crafter will have it at 50 for BB. You can still make decent profits selling leve items and crafting mats though.

Highest profits, sure, but also one of the more annoying to craft for given that you need an arsenal of ingredients for many of the crafts. For virtually all of the high level items it requires a full 6 items, and some of them even require tome items to craft. It's profitable, but that doesn't mean they don't make you work for that profit.

The real problem is that there's not much of a market for higher level equipment, and food is the only real earner since it benefits people on top of whatever they're wearing. Aside from the occasional level 55 weapon for relic and even more occasional level 70 piece, there aren't any items which people would consider must-haves. With all the serious items being dungeon rewards in one form or another, crafters will be left in the dust if the SE doesn't do something to break the trend.

same for me. we're drowning in that stuff and it still sells 100k-200k per piece. very easily.
