Yes I understand that. But they are more like lobbys.

So if they have the potential to display 100+ people in one place , why not make more OPEN world dungeons or bosses to take full advantage of it ? MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE BATTLES .

what happens when open world dungeons are empty and every pop is tagged by another party? no loot , and camping for hours , trying to claim something .....oh yeah that exist is called FFXI

Yep I did mention that FATES are the only MMO part of this game . Some people actually enjoy camping just like some people like fishing .

the thing is, the vast majority does .not. enjoy these things

I have fond memories of camping these things for hours, yes. you know why? because I did it with friends or got to know nice people.
now guess what? I do things with friends or meet nice people in ARR, too! the things that I do I have fun with because I am always quite the 'chatterbox'. granted I also annoy quite a handful, but in general I hope I'm a 'tolerable' player people like to spend time with. no matter if I'm camping some ridiculous spawn - or if I do a dungeon 10 times a day.

Damm I don't miss the camping but I miss the variety of battles FFXI had. Not the current Phase 1 2 3 4 5 stuff and the zerg Fates.

most ffxi battles had no phases at all or 2 at most, and were plagued by a broken TP system that drastically limited the number of people you could have hitting the mob. To have an 18 person alliance and have to have half of them holding back/doing nothing or else wipe the party, I wouldn't say that was much better.
