Is FFXIV about to jump the shark?

Jumping the shark is a term for a dying TV show, shows that keep going season after season and should have ended ages ago. Does this apply to this game? Um no. I dont think it could apply to games, content is different from bad story plots. Weeellll maybe WoW did it when they brought in Panda's, but its still as stretch.

This game is fine. Everyone is freaking out because we are 6 months in and there just isnt enough to do, omg why isnt this game like a pre packaged WoW? Its the end of the world!!!

Not white knighting, this game has massive flaws but come on people, what else are you going to play right now that is so much better?

I think you could apply it to games. For example: Final Fantasy XI jumped the shark when they introduced Abyssea.
