I'm curious to know if FFXIV is jumping the shark or not.
I'm curious to know if FFXIV is jumping the shark or not.
Im curious to know what this actually means.
The term jumping the shark stems from an episode of Happy Days. The show was ailing and loosing viewers and so they did a stunt where the cast went to Hawaii I believe and Fonzy while water skiing, jumped over a shark. It got a ton of ratings in a fast burst but then continued downhill.
So what it means is to do something flashy or showy to get attention to try to save something that's failing.
My response to the OP is...no, not even close.
Ehhhhhhhhh!
Ya I don't really get it, what's flashy? The game is new and the same as it's always been since release, just with more content.
I'm pretty sure Square have a limited supply of sharks.
They were going to buy a shark farm, but Yoshida wanted golden flakes in the drinking water instead.
Though they could sell shark hats to players.
