it will probably be the same size as the pc version. and with SE's copy/paste motive it wont change an awful lot.

I didnt even know you could upgrade hard drive onthe new PS3's, i know you can with the old. But my new one has like 250gb or something, havent checked.

Yeah its possible, and its just as easy as the old ones, like i said the challenge comes from formatting your external hard drive for memory swap.

It only has to use the 720p textures (the PC version installs the 720p and 1080p textures IIRC) it also doesn't need the PCcode from Crystal Tools but dunno how much that codechunk weighs.

Also. >.> I have a terabyte drive in my PS3.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Well as of right now xiv takes up about 9.83 Gigs of disk space with the actual cumulative file size being about 9.4g give or take. Now that size will continue to bloat as they start to add more content. Who knows where it will end up in a year or two (if they manage to get things working well), this is a mmo after all. But i would not worry about the game exceeding 15Gigs by the time the ps3 version is launched.

and 15 is a very very very highball estimate.

Final Fantasy XIV on my desktop computers HDD reads 12gigs *shrug* so i don't know why there all these differences in size.

My computer runs on Windows XP if that has any bearing.
