Not everyone wants to piggyback on a video from someone who had the opportunity to do learn how to do the content without watching a vid, some prefer to actually learn how to do it real time first. What if everyone decided to wait for videos before trying content? No one would try it first so how would anyone learn?

I don't have issues with people watching vids if they want to because that is their personal choice however, I think it is going too far to require/expect it from DF groups. Whether you prefer watching vids first or getting your feet wet by learning content on your first, second[...] try should also be a personal choice per one's play style. Save the restrictions for premade groups, partyfinder specs checklists, FC or LS's who's standards you can set where people can decide on their own should they want to join.

ITs not that . I am all for if someone is new and has watched a video im cool with that . And also i have made a ton of PF parties with the caption please know the fight or have watched the video even if you have not cleared . And you always get the one guy after going to the fight never done this before . Or you can clearly tell they have never done it before .

@DarkRain I have a question. I have no idea about your schedule or if you are the earlybird type but lets say hypothetically you log in right at launch on patch day and there is a bunch of new content to do that you are the correct Ilvl to do. Since you prefer vids first, do you wait and not try to do any of the new stuff because there are no vids out?

People can you please at least watch a video on the Primals before joining a party . If there is no PF group and even then sometimes people will join and you are DPS in a DF and you have been in a Que for 45 mins and you finally get Ultima HM to pop do us a favor and watch the video on the fight before you join. So often even in PF , people join the fight is up were in and someone is like 1st time here . ok...... Did you watch the video or read about the fight ? ............ no is it hard ?............your a tank and you have not watched the video ......? .........Nope......Wow.......were dead ....... then the healer leaves before we even start .....thanks for wasting mine and everyone else time .

So please take 5 mins out of your day watch a video here ill show you how to do it

If he gets first timers who haven't watched any vids or read guides showing up in PF when it's explicitely said he wanted people who know the fight that's another story.

I hate people like you, they refuse to watch a video because they say they want the "experience" then 5 min into the fight they say what should I do and i have to explain it to them anyhow. Had that happen with a tank with coil turn 1, refused to watch the video then I had to explain the entire fight to him. Waste of my time, waste of the squads time, waste of his time as the run ultimately failed.

It's like going to take a exam at school and not studying because you want to "experience" it, well enjoy experiencing failing cause that is what's going to happen.

This is so stupid. What do you think where the Kill Videos Come from? Before there is any Video to watch there are FC´s wiping on those bosses for hours(or even Months-Twintania) to figure out how it works. And once they are able to down it, they share the information wiith everybody by uploading Videos and writing guides. They could also say "why should we waste our time to show you how this works? We downed it so FU and figure it out how it works" You feel so badass and think you are the very best because you beated a boss where you spend hours watching Videos and reading guides? Wow you are so Hardcore -.-
Now you expect everyone to do the same? like it is the most normal thing in the world to read guides before trying the content?

Remember, behind all the guides and Videos there are people who figured this all out without any help, without any guides, without anyone telling them what to do and how it works and they are sharing there experience to HELP you out. By using this guides you take this help, so be thankful for it, respect it and be willing to Help other people too instead of blaming them but needing help from other ppl too. Seriously, 95% of ppl like you would never clear any content if there wasnt someone figuring it out and telling you how it works.

Let people learn the content the same way the server first guys learned it. You are the kind of poeple that make this game not fun to play.

While it's correct that the first people to do things have no guides, people that refuse to learn from those who came before them do rub some people the wrong way.

What I find even more amusing is the fact that the people who watch videos beforehand and know everything actually think they are better than people who decide to learn on their own. You aren't a better player, you just had everything handed to you. Hooray?

Also, how does anyone ever do content the first time? There is no videos the first time.
