I agree so much. However, I finally found one thing chocobo companions can be used for: Treasure Hunts! I usually do the 8-person ones, with four friends and four companions.

I agree so much. However, I finally found one thing chocobo companions can be used for: Treasure Hunts! I usually do the 8-person ones, with four friends and four companions.

It's still not worth it. You have to wait until you reach the destination to summon them. Then you have to withdraw them before you can go do another chest. Treasure chests as they are now are barely worth it on their own - you waste half of the 1692 gil you receive from just teleporting to a location and back. Using chocobos instead of just filling the party means you are spending gil instead of generating gil (that would go to a player).
