Intelligent use of BfB is hard on people. Also Bloodbath and Mantra will not save you from Titan Tumults.BFB in a nutshell:
Use it whenever you please. Obviously it is up to you to avoid dodge-able aoe and other damage.
People who are so cautious ro advise against it are likely not very good monks. My honest opinion.
If you are worried about damage intake where it's unavoidable (Like P6 in Turn 4) - Pop Bloodbath and Mantra to help out. Not always Mantra, but it is popped in that phase anyhow.
Evil is Evil. Lesser, greater, middling… Makes no difference.
