    A small suggestion -- "Tank n Spank"

This is more for older dungeons, but also counts for future ones. Also, i'm mostly speaking from a DPS perspective.

    "Tank-and-Spank" is ridiculously boring.

Now I enjoyed most of the dungeons alot (and nearly every boss), and later on the minibosses get really creative. But in hindsight, i really dreaded 60% of every dungeon because of how perfect and foolproof this strategy is. And it's used for every. single. enemy.

I'd personally say, cut Mob HP in half by 50% and increase their damage by a similar amount.

Or, really i don't even know how to actually fix it, and i'll admit that.

But nearly 100% of the time, cycling through Mark 1-2-3 until everything is dead got old WAAAYYY before anything died.

Don't worry Edellis, you will find many fresh mechanics when you encounter the Hard Mode Primals, Crystal Tower, Extreme Mode Primals and the Binding Coil of Bahamut. 1-50 is rather basic and for good reason; it's the starting point of the learning curve.

Well said. Titan HM in particular is a brick wall that many new lvl 50 players find themselves smashing into repeatedly if they don't study the fight mechanics.

I found the higher level dungeons ramping up in difficulty and movement. Dzemeal, AV, last boss from Qarn. However it just doesnt seem to be enough to prepare them for the harder stuff. In the dungeons one could easily die and simply get ressed, its much easier to get carried there. Maybe people dont see enough reason to go there, compared to how hard it is or how much they suck at it. So people dont get practice. They see a hard dungeon and go 'never again' then get destroyed in titan hm. 'Luckily' there is a different kind of carrying you can get for that, it involves buying a house for other people.

'1-50 is basic and for good reason' - BS. They should be better prepared for what's coming at 50.

    In preparation for Titan I'm assuming? I'm trying not to sound condescending here, but they are Hard Modes. The Wanderer's Palace and Amdapor Keep do a good job of ramping up the difficulty a bit I think; avoidance is a big one in Amdapor Keep in particular. I'm not claiming they're as hard, but they certainly introduce you to some incoming mechanics;

The Demon Wall casts Repel; and if it isn't handled correctly, you'll be knocked off the edge. Know anyone else with an attack like that?

Anatoboga casts Imminent Catastrophe; players are forced to hide behind pillars to evade incoming damage. It has Garuda written all over it.

I guess people that hop straight onto the Hard Modes won't have encountered some of these already though, so I'd advice them to complete the level 50 Dungeons first.

Two solutions for tje OP inform thr party that u are going to mix it up (or they will yell at you) and pull random mobs during fights, Kill out of order. Stuff like that. Or become a tank. Dont mark anything or flash anything. So the DD have to fend for themselves. Thete are things you could do. But best go as a premade

Or you could play a more interesting class than Bard.

btw, the first fights that require DPS to do stuff other than stand there and press 1-2-3 are notorious for giving players immense troubles (Sunken Temple, Stone Vigil, Titan Normal). Many players hit that wall and cannot dodge simple mechanics, so IMO leave the dodging to us tanks and let DPS derp around until they get into raids. If you want to be engaged in fights then play tank or healer.

I'm actually into the later dungeons now. I don't have any issue with them, they're tons of fun.

The most fun i've had with the older dungeons however involve me doing premade parties with my FC on alts. Dungeons with 4 DPS, for instance. The dungeons feel alot more organic, similar to battles in the older FF games. We choose roles as we go into battles, we make good use of cross-class skills, ect. This kind of stuff happens on its own in the later dungeons, but i just wish I didn't have to go fishing for that kind of enjoyment. I guess it's fine the way it is (because it does change on its own), but its just something i noticed.

I think Titan and (especially) Garuda are perfect enough wakeup calls for whats to come. They encourage communication, coordination and spacing.

The biggest problem im having with Lv50+ content isn't the dungeons themselves, but the terrible douchebag players who ragequit and expect everyone to have logged 4000 hours into the game like they have. They're a real cancer to the enjoyment of the game.

OP, the dev team have designed the game to wean you into the harder mechanics, that's why the first dungeons are the way they are. Although, you must've not noticed anything in the early dungeons if you think it's all tank and spank. Sastasha gets you to interrupt the adds spawning, Tam-Tara Deepcroft gets you to attack adds because the boss is invulnerable while they are up, Copperbell gets you to attack adds otherwise you will be overwhelmed, Halatali does the same, don't get adds and you take a lot of damage, etc.

What are you complaining about OP? There are a lot more to the boss encounters than tank and spank. Are you playing with your eyes shut?
