PS4 beta? How does this work?

I'm not sure how the beta will work either as SE hasn't really released any information about it yet. I assume info will be given later this month. Also when the ps3 copy of this game was purchased, a voucher was given for a free copy of ps4 version. A lot of other games did this too or gave a discount (like $10for ps4 version). Since you have a subscription to this game all other mediums are included (PC, ps3, ps4) on the account.

Well see my question was that I was told people with the PS3 version get the PS4 version for free. Like a download code or something because why would I want to spend $40 or so on the same game for a different console? that would be dumb kind of. Wouldn't it? I would keep the same charecter and such. How to you even get to the beta application type thing? don't you have to sign up for it or something?

Why we must have 2 different accounts for ps3 and pc instead of a single paid mogstation account and log on both freely? Isn't it dumb..

This is incorrect information. To log in from PC and PS3, you don't have to have two different accounts, you simply have to register a purchased version of the game for the platform you want to play on. You then pay for 1 account, just have both versions registered to that one account.

In my house, my dad's account is registered to both the PC and PS3, and he can log into both with the same characters and everything. My brother's account is registered to both as well, same thing. My account is registered only to the PS3, so I can't log into the PC, and my mom's account is registered for PC only, so she can't log into the PS3.

So we have every possible version in my house, and I see it every day. You definitely don't have to pay for two separate accounts to play on both the PC and PS3.

Same thing is most likely going to apply to the PS4. You will simply have to buy a PS4 version (or upgrade from PS3) to play on PS4, but if you upgrade instead of buy then you won't be able to log into PS3 anymore.

As long as you have the PS3 disk, which you already need too play this game now, you'll still have the disk for the ps4 version. After you download the ps4 version you still use the ps3 disk. This has been stated in other places before. So you'll still be able to pay this on ps3, provided you still have your ps3

Actually you are wrong, It is a license migration. When you use the ps4 key to activate your download and tie your account to the ps4, the ps3 license gets removed. Meaning, you cannot log back into the ps3 client, even if its installed on your ps3.

My questions about PS4 beta is this. Since I have to play on a "beta" server and not be able to use my characters, Will my subscription have to be "active" to get access to the Beta.

I feel that since I do not get to play my characters, and 100% of my play time will be on the PS4, I should not have to have an active subscription to beta test the PS4. Upon release in April, I fully expect to have to pay the monthly subscription though.

Also, is it to anyone else's expectation, that if my account has a PS3 flag, I am "automatically" in the PS4 beta? That is my assumption at this time. Any one else feel this way with what has been explained so far?

You can register every available platform to the same service account and you would then only need to pay 1 sub for all registered platforms on the account. Only the register keys for every platform you need to buy once.
Of course, if you register them to different service accounts then you need to pay sub for every service account.
