PS4 beta? How does this work?

I have a question. I heard beta for the PS4 version is to start on Feb. 22nd. What I also heard was, the one's that have it for PS3 get to do beta for the PS4 version. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, when I bought my copy for the PS3 I was told or read somewhere that PS3 users that bought it, get it for the PS4 for free. Anyone heard anything on these questions?

If you own a regular PSN account with a ps4 registered, that email should receive a beta invite if used to submit for beta, playable on a ps4 obiouvsly
A free account for ps3 owners? Square PR must be a fool giving free accounts instead of cash out
Also, even if ps3 users gets a free account, the ps4 account is paid separately form the ps3 one (should at least) as an entire different platform, like pc vs ps3 accounts.

It is true, also ppl that bought the PS3 version don't get a free copy of the PS4 version they get a free upgrade from the PS3 version to the PS4 version.

Well see my question was that I was told people with the PS3 version get the PS4 version for free. Like a download code or something because why would I want to spend $40 or so on the same game for a different console? that would be dumb kind of. Wouldn't it? I would keep the same charecter and such. How to you even get to the beta application type thing? don't you have to sign up for it or something?

PS4 beta I believe they said will be on a separate server at first so you can't use your current characters on it when it starts if that is of any concern. When the game comes out in April then you will actually be able to upgrade your PS3 version.

Also when the ps3 copy of this game was purchased, a voucher was given for a free copy of ps4 version. A lot of other games did this too or gave a discount (like $10for ps4 version). Since you have a subscription to this game all other mediums are included (PC, ps3, ps4) on the account.

This is incorrect information. To log in from PC and PS3, you don't have to have two different accounts, you simply have to register a purchased version of the game for the platform you want to play on. You then pay for 1 account, just have both versions registered to that one account.

In my house, my dad's account is registered to both the PC and PS3, and he can log into both with the same characters and everything. My brother's account is registered to both as well, same thing. My account is registered only to the PS3, so I can't log into the PC, and my mom's account is registered for PC only, so she can't log into the PS3.

So we have every possible version in my house, and I see it every day. You definitely don't have to pay for two separate accounts to play on both the PC and PS3.

Same thing is most likely going to apply to the PS4. You will simply have to buy a PS4 version (or upgrade from PS3) to play on PS4, but if you upgrade instead of buy then you won't be able to log into PS3 anymore.

As long as you have the PS3 disk, which you already need too play this game now, you'll still have the disk for the ps4 version. After you download the ps4 version you still use the ps3 disk. This has been stated in other places before. So you'll still be able to pay this on ps3, provided you still have your ps3

Actually you are wrong, It is a license migration. When you use the ps4 key to activate your download and tie your account to the ps4, the ps3 license gets removed. Meaning, you cannot log back into the ps3 client, even if its installed on your ps3.
