You do realize that 'group' wasn't even a player group at all - Titan wasn't even available in 1.0 as it had been dummied out, so players never got to fight him. The whole 'Company of Heroes' thing in ARR's main storyline was simply a means of explaining why players never fought him in 1.0. It wasn't a shout out to whoever killed him first.

    Yes, they should.

When the "World First" group to wipe to Coil Turn 6 comes in, SE should incorporate their failure into the lore. "Such and Such Company of Wherever fought valiantly and failed, do you think you have what it takes to best this trial?" the NPCs will ask.

No thanks. There are all ready WAY to many people who feel they are better than others simply because they have a few more pixels. What are the odds that the players that have progressed the furthest, at this point, are truly the best of the best? I would say those odds are very small.

I never want to see another players name in any FF lore just because they beat or did something first. BUT in FFXI BCNMs would keep track of who beat them the fastest (party leader name only). Maybe the could do something similar.

If you die in game your character should be deleted.

'World Firsts' don't matter, it's not an even playing field for numerous reasons, doing something in the 100th group is just as worthy of admiration, or not, as the first.

Blizzard didn't invent 'iron man' mode as earlier games called it.

I disagree with the op; people should not be incorporated into FF lore. However, I disagree more with Kraggy's last comment. Being the world first is way more worthy of admiration than the 100th. The first is the one who comes up with / perfects the strategy and spends endless days/hours to do it. While the 100th group simply watches a video with his group, spends 2-3 hours practicing using the already incorporated strategy and winning.

The ones who came up with that strategy and spent weeks perfecting it (ala BG with pre-nerf Twin kill) deserve more admiration than any group who beats it now after watching videos and copying exactly what they did.

Damn I didn't think this idea would get shot down so fast. Just thought it'd be cool to get people more incorporated into the world/lore/the game instead of using it as a dungeon hub. *shrugs* whatever I guess the game came out last gen and it'll stay in last gen.

I think people are taking my idea a little too seriously. All I'm saying is maybe something like, in the description of turn 6 coil, it saying "now that BG has slain twintania, a new foe arises." That's it, just a little recognition.
