    I've been saying this since beta: "Join in-progress" should not have been an option. It should have been compulsory. Other than first timers, everyone will first fill in-progress parties, and only after all the in-progress parties are filled, the system create new instances.

    This way less people will spam the withdraw button because they're less likely to get an in-progress party.

    The previous time when devs responded to this withdraw problem, they said there was some bug that caused the withdraw message even though nobody really withdrew. I think they also did say that in 2.1 they've fixed it, although I don't remember it clearly.

    Never had that, but then again I always join as tank. They're easy, but I wouldn't be surprised if people leave after seeing party members not in full DL or something. People are used to overgearing and they want to overgear new content too.

    honestly as a tank I only join into CT if its at least 2/4. I don't need the gear, and its the easiest way to make philo and myth. Far easier than any speedruns.

    Other solutions include punishing anyone that withdraws after the option pops up, or have the join in progress be an ONLY join in progress.

    Joining after first boss is down means you miss out on 35 philo... after second you miss out on 80 philo... after third 135 philo...
    So what you're really after is fast myths and don't care about philo at all.

    Tome grinding is so last month dude.

    You know what's easier Myth than CT? Duty Roulette. But then you might actually have to run a full dungeon. The horror!

    I support both of OP's suggestions. Another way to 'fix' the problem would be to make it so the 'join party in progress' was changed to 'join party in progress ONLY'. That way, people who are queuing up for a brand new instance will not be put at a disadvantage from the constant withdraws. I watched this happen for over 30+ minutes the other night... it was almost comical. Tanks are USUALLY the culprits (probably because they get instaqueues) but I've seen healers and dps do it too. Then again, making it so people can 'join party in progress ONLY' will make it more difficult for ready queues to pop.

    A simple solution that has been mentioned, is to simply not show how many bosses have been downed on the "in progress" option.

    So, you queue up with "in progress" checked, and the queue pops for an in progress dungeon you get:

    "Duty finder - Labyrinth of the Ancients (In progress) - Join / Withdraw"

    Simple.

    Clicking on the Join In Progress option and not being able to see if you're actually joining an in progress run or a brand new one defeats the purpose of the Join In progress option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The best and most efficient way to fix this is to simply make so that when people queue for In Progress, they ONLY join In Progress instances, not brand new ones.

    Also, make it FIFO (first in, first out), so if 100 people queue for In Progress, and 1 spot opens, the first person who queued gets it, the 100th person will have to wait his/her turn. Honestly I don't like that even when we choose to Join In Progress content, the game will put you in a brand new one if there is nothing currently available. Its better if they just separate both queues. No need for penalties, no need to remove the Join In Progress button, no need to remove the option to see what the current progress is. Just make the queue separate, and ALL problems are solved for everyone
