"We'll look into it" means the same thing as "working as intended" - shut up and leave us alone.

A forum is a collective gathering place for ideas... welcome to the world wide interweb where ideas are posted everywhere. If no one posted ideas, then of course a game developer would have all the answers because we would be playing the same game since launch; they would have no reason to change anything. Ideas are what betters the game and it informs the developers what the community is really pushing for or against.if people didn't post every idea that ever crossed their minds, or complaints on every single aspect of every single system of the game, they could probably give everyone the answers they're looking for
it seems "we'll look into it" means, we are aware of this idea or issue now, so you don't need to make any more posts about it
I'd personally feel more blown off, if after weeks of trying to get feedback through to them, they don't take the time to write it down on a post it note at the office, or least let me know that they are aware of it here
I don't call it fan boydum but i do call it ignorance is bliss, "we will look into it" answers for a Q and A (and a majority of Community rep responses) should never be expected let alone tolerated by the community.
I certainly do acknowledge there being pointless/useless threads and posts, but come on that is to be expect in any and all forums.

I think that means that in another moment of the future they're going to make an observation of that undefined thing.
It tells me that the dev team is listening, but what I hear them saying is "we're too busy. we'll put it on a long list of things we'll probably never get to."
Well, maybe that wouldn't have been the problem if they had LISTENED TO US THE FIRST TIME.
I can appreciate that people have a long history with SE and want to believe they can make it right. I believe so myself. But this is their own hole they dug themselves into and I'm not going to feel sorry for them for having ignored our feedback when we gave it to them.
The alpha was too short and we told them so. Didn't change.
People couldn't connect during the alpha due to the horrible server setup. Need to delay/lengthen the alpha. Barely changed.
The beta was too short and we told them so. Didn't change.
Hardly anything was different between alpha and beta and we told them so. Didn't change on release.
I've done plenty of work as a contractor before. You can't expect your client to have sympathy for you because you screwed up. Deadlines are still deadlines. Get more people on board. Save the sinking ship.
If they had listened to us, the game wouldn't have launched last year, and this would be an entirely different situation and perhaps we'd all be feeling a lot better about it.
Oh, and I just realized this.
It's really important to point out that *they asked us for questions*. This wasn't exactly unsolicited.
I've seen the original Japanese responses, they're no wordier than this, so the problem is fundamentally in communications. We need more thoughtful responses from the dev team. Blizzard does a *fantastic* job with Q&A and they're not afraid to share their future visions of the game.
this might be because they have a vision. FFXIV never had one and perhaps they are still not close to being sure what their vision is...Oh, and I just realized this.

Just some canned corporate response, basically it tells me we have lost all creativity and the suits took over and all minutia are constructed/deconstructed for every dollar spent.
In a nutshell Wada needs to go and they need a creative type at the helm and some numbers guy buried back in some dungeon somewhere who just makes sure the bills gets paid.
"We'll look into it" means they ask for our feedback because we say it's necessary but they aren't sure if they actually want it even though it's probably needed because we've been playing forever and they've been creating forever and both sides think they're right because they've both been around forever.
...confused yet? SE sure as hell is.
