Wrong. You were never punished by forming premades. You were merely rewarded for going in solo to benefit other people.

Wrong. No one was rewarded for going solo, they just couldn't implement it until 2.2
However, even if it was the case, it's still just a matter of perspective. Not giving a reward equals to punishing, from a certain point of view.
Never heard something like: "No extra cookie for you, you acted bad!"? That's a punishment and send the message you are doing something wrong.
Your perspective on the matter is naive and biased. If you were the one getting less, you would absolutely feel punished, I assure you.

More on topic, I feel like SE doesn't change anything relevant until each major patch. Then I guess a lot of other important stuff (such as this) won't change till 2.2.
So has any one of you a hint on the release date? I checked on history from FFXI's patches and it seemed they released one around every 6 months.
Do you think we should expect the same from FFXIV?
