This is why gear in this game needs interesting additions like set bonuses, e.g. at 3pc/5pc of a particular set you get an additional trait, like Aetherflow gives 4 stacks, or Lustrate leaves behind a regen, or Lustrate has a short-range AOE effect like Cure III, idk, some interesting thing like that, that people can actually NOTICE after spending months and months getting a full set of gear.

Then no one would be thinking about PVP boots as BiS for a difference of 1% crit.

Get Allagan or Myth healing boots, you will see virtually no difference than if you spend a week in PVP and get the PVP boots instead (other than a few sideways glances when people look at your gear). Royal Boots are fine too but not better than either of the i90 boots. None of the secondary stats are garbage anymore, get the highest ilvl piece wherever you can, never sacrifice MND for a stat which is worth 5-6 times less.

First of all. No. This isn't wow and mixing and matching gear to obtain the build you want is fine.

Taking pvp boots for the crit is fine if you are hunting for bis in a crit build. That's why its called bis. No one is saying one piece of gear will make a big difference, rather looking for the overall benefit.

That's your opinion, if you think it is okay for the reward for several weeks of work to be for your Physick to do 1002 on average instead of 994, and for your crit to go from 17.34% to 18.1%. All we're really fighting for at endgame is server-firsts and gear aesthetics, some people like to do PVE to have the toolset and playability of their class change with gear. I don't know, current state of endgame just seems a bit boring to me, once you clear the content.

I like crit too but I'm not gonna sacrifice a larger total of secondary stats for it. People min-max in different ways, I don't think that crit's stat weight is 50% more than Piety/Spell Speed, so that's that for me.

Nice try, I actually like wow but I'm trying to play Final Fantasy now, imagine that. And actually after several weeks of PLAYING, not WORKING, the overall effect is quite large. I remember being a whm with a 700 cure and now its 1100. As a sch the potency difference might not be as noticeable with a crit build but hey, those crit adlos...

In regards to one piece of gear, if you are pvping anyway why not? I'm not saying those that hate pvp should go out and farm rank 30 but if you are going to take advantage of what the game offers anyway, go for it. If not royal boots can be gotten in one week and are arguably still very good if you do value piety.

Kek. Endgame is always boring once you clear content.

I do agree, I guess the sad part is though that 90% or more of that 700 -> 1100 jump is from your weapon and MND alone.
