    Having the IP and all of the money means nothing. SWtOR Suffered because of horrendous imbalincing issues that were left unaddressed long enough for it to cause them sub losses, and the fact that they blew most of their budget on their Voice Actors.

    That it was associated with Electronic Arts didn't help the Customer Support department at all either.

    Exactly. Having the Final Fantasy IP with all of its rabid fanbase and a bunch of money to rebuild 14 doesn't guarentee it's a good game. Poor design decisions or lack of compelling content beyond a raid treadmill left unaddressed for long enough will cause sub loss. Interesting factoid, just before launch the SWtoR devs said of their beta testers that their opinions really didn't matter and that they had long ago decided how the game was going to be made but it was important for the testers to feel they had an impact. Yoshi's recent 'deal with it' post regarding his decision on FC housing prices was an uncomfortable parallel.
