PVP Should Give Experience Points

Hm...no. Progression via PvP is the last thing this game needs - It's a PvE based game. MMOs with a huge PvP focus, sure, but this game doesn't need PvP to become a central leveling mechanic.

levelling isn't progression. there already is progression in PVP.

PVP in an MMORPG will not work if people don't get better. the getting better gear-wise (or level-wise) is the sole reason MMORPGs exist.

if you want PVP without getting better stuff from doing it, play a Shooter... (where you will arguably get 'better' PVP too)

not forgetting to mention, someone who already doesn't care about PVP won't magically start doing it just to level up. they will still hate it.

however, for someone who likes both PVE and PVP, a leveling alternative means they will be more inclined to leveling another class. another class they need to gear up. another class that keeps them in-game longer. and with that, they will be a paying costumer longer. business. it's a funny thing.

huh? eh. the OP is about the base class. aka you do PVP on your bard which is lvl 39, meaning you're in the lvl 30 PVP braket.. you get 2000 xp at the end of a match. those 2000 xp get added to your archer. your archer reaches lvl 40 with that because you were missing 1300 xp to levle up... now you can do lvl 40 PVP with your bard.

Noone mentioned anything about PVP becoming a central leveling mechanic. Yes, this is a PVE based game, however, in adding PvP, they are trying to create more options for players. This being said, why not during the leveling process as well. If you do not want to level via PvP then don't. Noone is saying that you have to, or even that you should. However, since it is in the game, I should be able to level via PvP IF I CHOOSE TO. Since this is my monthly subscription being paid, it should not matter to you how I want to experience the game. Basically, whether there is exp rewards for PvP will not effect you one bit since you clearly do not want it, however, it would effect me, and others a great deal, since we do.

PvP give you already exp, if your team win.
Of course the level 50 PvP would not give you exp.

It gives you PvP experience, which is completely different than what we are talking about on this post. The PVP experience goes towards your ranking, which allows you to equip better gear and PvP abilities. It does not increase your class level in any way, and it should.

No, pvp actually does give you class experience when you win, I get around 3000xp each win in level 30 matches.

but it isn't 'pvp exp' or 'pve exp'.
the experience for pvp (the one you need to get gear) is not relevant to your level.

it doesn't matter if you do pvp at lvl 30 or at lvl 50. you will always rank up in pvp. right now pvp at lvl 30 is the same as doing lvl 50 pve content. and that's silly.


edit: I guess all of this doesn't really matter if you do indeed get exp for winning, then it's just BS that you only get it for winning. lol

edit2: thinking about it, I thiiiiink you actually get exp for the daily or whatever that weird quest is, too. not sure though. o.O
