If you are a WHM without Swiftcast, you are holding back your team at endgame

A swiftcasted raise is probably the most useful thing a white mage could possibly do at Endgame, among the many other uses for Swiftcast. Yet almost everysingle time I go into DF, the White Mage never has Swiftcast, and we wipe. Everytime the WHM does have swiftcast, we win, coincidence? I think not.

You should not be healing endgame with a WHM at all until you learn Swiftcast. If you don't know this ability, you are holding back your team. Does anybody else agree? Is Swiftcast a vitally important ability for a White Mage to have? What are your thoughts?

Your reasoning is pretty terrible. You forcing the WHM to cast Raise is the reason why you're wiping. Not the WHM's inability to cover your mistakes fast enough to stop the rest of your teammates from dying.

I do agree that it's too important an ability to not have endgame though.

Honestly if you *can't* raise asap then you're a bad/lazy healer/smn... if you want to go that route.

If in a bad group, Swiftcast Raise is great
If in a good group, Swiftcast aoe heals can be great

Either way if you are a healer without Swiftcast you need to get it

Swiftcast seems to be a good skill to have. Whm have presence of mind which increases spell speed, but has a very ling cool down (5min I think)

I am leveling a thm to 26 just to get it.

Swiftcast isn't absolutely necessary for endgame, however i don't see a reason NOT to get it other than laziness or an extreme lack of time. THM to 26 is stupid easy. ACN to 34 for e4e is a tad more annoying i must admit.

Well, of course it applies to SCH too. Swiftcast Eos/Selene, Swiftcast Resurrection, etc. Can you image re-casting your pet without swiftcast during fights like Twintania, T4 or Titan? lol.

I'd say for WHM it's great, but for SCH it's basically required. Losing your fairy for any length of time is a major hamstring on your healing.

done all game content except for t5 without swiftcast with no problem with the right groups of course, even for t5 wasnt vital. Today we killed t5 with my static, both healers took turns in dying so we resed each other, but silly mistakes happened and since we all mastered the fight even if we wiped and done the fight again we would still win at the end. Also resing is still possible without swiftcast done it in about every end game except t4, even helps to communicate with tank so they can put in cd if necessary, however still can be done if you know the pattern of bosses and know where a time in the fight you can cast raise.
