Haha gosh people who refuse to level their cross-class are precious. Yoshida has literally said that content is designed with cross-class abilities in mind, you're simply not playing your class right.

A swiftcasted raise is probably the most useful thing a white mage could possibly do at Endgame, among the many other uses for Swiftcast. Yet almost everysingle time I go into DF, the White Mage never has Swiftcast, and we wipe. Everytime the WHM does have swiftcast, we win, coincidence? I think not.

That means that your playstyle needs a whm with swiftcast/raise because you are not able to do anything without dieing all the time. Grats, blame the whm's.

I just finished watching the MrHappy Titan vid and noticed their dragoon took a bomb at one point. If one of you guys were healing that fight you would of spat the dummy and said they're too bad to heal, rather than reacting to it and pulling a very skilled team through for a win. Everyone makes mistakes so give yourself a margin for error.

Swiftcast is absolutely there for the unexpected situations where you can't afford to wait for a cast, raise is a bad example to cherry pick. More often it's used on more minor errors. You can save a wipe with swiftcast, but if you decide not to and instead assign blame then your attitude is a liability to groups.

Why just WHM? IMHO, if you are any DoM without Swiftcast, you are holding back yourself and your party.

It is quite clearly one of the universally most useful CC skills for Disciples of Magic, don't even try to find excuses for not having it. Level 26 THM is a drip in the bucket, go and get it now if you don't already.

Swiftcast is very useful and as a WHM I have it. However, if it was VITAL to our class then it would be one of our core skills to begin with and not a cross-class skill. If our having a cross skill is the difference in win/lose, then you have bigger problems.

No, you had one problem, which became a bigger problem because a potential safety net was not in place. Refer to my previous post not everyone is perfect. Also someone quoted this before but snipped out a part.

So no, it is not strictly required but it is balanced for it, so in other words you're not bringing everything you could to the table. I leveled all my cross-class abilities, so did everyone else in my static. How disrespectful is it to other people who put in the time to not do the same yourself, and then blame them for wipes? Good groups are about mutual trust and respect, the other players sometimes makes mistakes and trust the healers to have their back, while the healers trust that the other members do their best to avoid taking unnecessary damage, and know the limits of healing and the negative impact straining healers can have on a group.

If I was to order what was the biggest problem in a wipe, and this healer starts mouthing off about not having swiftcast because we should be too good for it, that healer and their attitude is certainly the biggest problem in the group. They essentially admitted that they are not doing the best job they could and are willing to pass blame to people who probably were trying their best.

Guess why people die? Because they stand in aoe or the healers weren't good enough to keep them up. And almost all fights (barring titan) allow enough (idk about coil though) for a dd or tank or even healer to stand in at least one aoe or even two and survive.... so yeah
