Why threads like this? Will it change anything?
I remember when I was eleven, I bought this gawd awful PS1 game, called Dragon Valor, with my hard earned lawn mowing money. It was $60, a fortune at the time. I was pissy over my $ loss, and my own decision to impulse buy, and I was mad at the company and even Target lol, but I got over it in less than a week. It was my choice, they didn't owe me anything, I didn't even have a means to complain to the company, and life went on.
SE is going to such extreme lengths to get our trust back and increase customer relations. We are on the same side after all. They want to make a game that we enjoy and will pay for, we want to play a game that we enjoy, and would have few qualms over paying for such a game.
People complaining about the game is great, the devs need to know these things. But people don't just discuss the game anymore, they attack and complain about SE as a company. The common mindset it shifting to SE vs the community. Which is silly since we all just want the same thing
Have you ever tried selling FFXIV on ebay? - Good luck. And without wonderful modern-day conventions such as GameStop and eBay, if you bought a game and did not like it, you would be stuck with it. That argument is hardly reasonable.
Forgive me if I don't see eye to eye with you, but SE could easily have not dropped the fees to this game. It is only out of wanting to keep your business that they have. I'm only asking you to be a considerate customer. Is that so hard?
I paid for this crap, I have every right to complain.
Because things we've been asking for 9 months now are still not implemented. Very reasonable reaction. But people don't just discuss the game anymore, they attack and complain about SE as a company.
lol i paid $20 for this game at a gamestop that put it on sale.
it neeeds some work but i'm sure SE will make it worth it.
so far i think i have enjoyed over $20 of interesting gameplay
(well aside from the d/c durring leves)
well as much as i have hope for this game and waiting patiently. i payed the 80bucks and on top of that i stupidly bought 140bucks in game cards that are absolutly unrefundable from gamestop. also mmo's aren't tradable at gamestop, i still have my ffxi and all expansions sitting in a closet.
also on top of that i think most of us would be playing a different mmo if this game just didn't come out till it was ready untill it was ready. playing for free is no excuse for them to now take there time and do how they please, we gonna hit a year of play b4 we get better transportation or anything we should of had like being able to buy extra retainers. so yeah it's free but remember they had the audacity to look at this game and say yeah we can charge these idiots and they will pay for it right from the bat.
not playing would be worse, cause it's not like a beta wipe. ps3 got it worse though cause not playing and them jumping into game later has cost lots of them so much more time to do what we did already. its like how na jumped into the game and economy way after jp for ffxi.
so all in all i understand why everyone would bitch about it, i'm one that bitches alot too, but i'm here and i'm playing in game and haven't ran off to another game yet like many. at this point i'd say bitching bout the game is more enjoyable then playing it lol.
That's all well and good, until word gets around that your restaurant isn't even worth going to because your chips and salsa suck. Then your restaurant goes out of business and you're looking for a new job.
The OP has raised a valid point. Why the hell isn't SE giving us free chips and salsa (the spicier the better) while we wait for content? It's the least they could do.
Oh goodness, those restaurant chips are soooooo good.
