eer, IDC how embarrassing it feels, If a DD goes crazy on attack and pulls hate but doesn't know when to STOP, let the poor bastard die!Just recently been actively doing Duty Roulette for the daily rewards.
...
Some how the archers still beat me from it. I can't get back agro on the bosses unless i tell the archer to hold back their atk. That's kinda embarrassing.
(I remember back then when i was tanking in the lv20's, it wasn't this bad)
(I'm sorry, it's the FFXI mentality in me)

I was surprised that low level paladin/gladiator threat wasn't buffed much for 2.1. Early levels (before the full combo) have always been annoying for these types of tanks to keep threat against dps. And I agree that it can be worse in roulette.
Most roulettes aren't too bad, but I had one roulette where I simply could not change target from what the dps was working on to try to build threat on anything else. If I did, I would immediately lose the target. Fortunately it's not really a big deal, as these dungeons are too easy even with the gear debuffs.
I agree with most of the advice in this thread: use Flash a bit more generously, remember that Fight or Flight helps, and let the dps tank what they pull if they're getting overzealous.
Its not just pld, wars face have this problem as well. Its the dps that dun pay attention to argo meter.

no i never had problems as a warrior.
Just spam savage blade / skull sunder. It is a minor threat loss (600 vs 750), but lets you hold threat evenly instead of waiting 2.5+ seconds for the combo to land (in which time the ARC has usually blown their wad). Remember that lowbie dungeons are more about snap aggro than efficiency.
I got a Copperbell last night on Roulette and that's what I ended up doing - just stabbity stabbity stab with Savage Blade, to keep the heat off the Archer. Good group, played a good run, and it feels good hitting "PASS" on all the loot so the ones who need it, get it.
i never had problem. Just spam flash and riot blade for mana. Extermly easy
It's my experience from low levels that spamming flash won't even keep up with (pre 2.1) Blizzard 2 spam. How you intend to use it to keep up with an actual single target rotation is beyond me.
Yeah its usually the ARCs that pulls all the aggro.
Though i usually just let them tank the mob till it dies if its going to fall within the next 6-8 secs. Saves me the trouble of tanking it and it may teach 'em a valuable lesson.
For me it's usually BLMs and DRG, sometimes MNK. I'm not even joking, I've had this problem with higher level players more than low level players, and very often.
