Bards are difficult because most don't even stop attacking long enough to let Provoke work. I'll lose Aggro to a bard (on my Paladin in low level dungeons), provoke, gain Aggro, and then the bard gets it right back and attempts to kite the boss around making me chase....

Flash is not a single-target ability. Neither Flash nor Overpower in 2.0 could ever hold aggro that way, though the insane stance modifier means they can now. Funny that the enmity changes have made people so lazy that they can't even figure out how to hold aggro in starter dungeons.

Tomahawk has 10 more potency than Shield Lob, but otherwise, no. MRD can invest GCDs in Maim for more enmity over the duration, but that's the opposite of what you're claiming. Otherwise, they are roughly the same. GLA gets everything earlier, too: Fight or Flight at 6 vs. Berserk at 22, RoH at 26 vs. BB at 30.

I haven't tried since 2.0, but you could not change from MRD to WAR in a dungeon then (I once accidentally queued for WP as MRD).

//EDIT: Now that I think about it, Overpower's enmity buff probably makes it flat-out better now.

I realize that, but the poster above me tried to say that spamming flash will keep your threat above whatever the DD puts out, which is clearly just bad advice.

Mark targets > Shield lob > Flash x2 > Enmity Combo x2 > Flash > Tab target > Build hate where necessary

Still having trouble? Then tell them to hold off a little.

Still having trouble? Let them die.

You won't be having any more trouble.

    ---

While levelling my BRD with Duty Roulette I take responsibility for every HP I lose (except unavoidable AOE). If I'm pulling hate I'll stop attacking. Maybe DoT another mob while I wait for hate to drop.

use more fight or flight and rotate targets if necessary while it's up. I believe flash is more potent when it's up too but that may just be in my head.

    Cross-class raging strikes(level 4 archer).

Pop fight or flight with raging strikes when pulling

ARC crossclass skills can't be equipped by PLD, only GLD.
This will work if you make another ability bar that doesn't change when switching classes that is setup for running low levels as a GLD and then cycling your main ability hotbar to that one when you go into a low dungeon.
This is what I did for setting up my main PvP ability bar.

Anyways the main point of the low level dungeons is to teach players dungeon and group play mechanics, which includes how to play their roles properly. If DPS is constantly pulling agro from you than perhaps they are doing something wrong. I often have to remind DPs that at low level I don't have either Oaths yet so my hate generation is lower than at high levels so they will need to pace damage properly and not just spam huge attacks and AoE's.

Haven't had any issues, and my Roulette (all PLD, almost done leveling it) has been 2 Ifrits, 1 Copperbell, and every other day has been Halitali so it refuses to let me have access to Rage of Halone. And of course the guildhests, but they don't really count. I've had some dps get close (Pugilist on Ifrit), but never had any major issues.

Fight or Flight at the start of the fight which should be available every other pull. If you have it macro'd and it's being wasted halfway through the trash pull where you don't need the extra burst of threat then that's on you for being too lazy to use it manually at a better time.

You're going to be Flashing a few times no matter what due to healing threat, so at worst ask your Archer/Bard to multi dot before blowing up the main target. It's a dps increase to multidot anyways and good practice for when they get their ability that resets Bloodletter on dot crits (though they don't get it 'til late 40s), just costs slightly more TP which shouldn't matter outside of a boss fight.

People playing a DPS class tend to not pay attention to the hate meter in lower level dungeons in my experience as a healer and a tank. Even when they pull hate and the mob is bashing in their face they continue to do as much damage as possible, if it is close to death I can understand but most times it isn't even close. I tanked a low level dungeon with an archer who stated it was his second dungeon, he wouldn't even wait for me to finish marking all the targets. I would mark 1 and immediately he would hit it, and when you only have a few enmity skills and a DPS going nuts it gets annoying fast. Hate management isn't just a tanks job, everyone in the party has to manage it. People tend to blame the tank for not holding hate, when they are at fault for not managing their hate. More often then not DF groups lack synergy, it is every man for himself especially when it comes to DPS classes.

^ This can never be said enough. I just wish more players realized it.
