DPS parsing Black Mage numbers since patch

280+ on twin, wow that IS high. I'm just wondering because I usually parse high or highest in random groups where our gear is all over the place but still doesn't seem as high as I want it to be. In Titan EM I parsed 200-220, in Garuda EM 190 was my absolute highest. I was with a lesser geared BLM and he beat me by 30+ dps in Garuda as well. I know that songs and aoe might have played a role but still. I have not done Twin yet so I can not comment on that sadly.

If you spam aoe in p1 and p3 then 280 is easy, but its not optimal. aoe is never optimal unless its 4 mobs. but if u want to pad numbers, flare transpose on the snakes and drakes is an easy way to do it and make urself "look better" while actually taking longer.

I don't think you understand numbers very well. If you can do more total damage in less time by AOEing (and this has been proven with our sustained aoe rotation on even 2 mobs), it's going to take less time to kill them all collectively- although they will each be up for a longer period individually. But saying it only serves to "pad your numbers while actually taking longer" is just untrue. It will take less time.
