Some show up under the Duty list while others show up under the Main Scenario list. For example, there are thirteen cutscenes for CM under Duty, while the scenes depicting the aftermath and credits are listed under the quest under Main Scenario.
Well I did inform my group it was my 1st time... I even said if they wanted to speed run it I would leave to accommodate a more willing player in my place ... yet I got no answer just found myself stuck at the start while the whole lot had gone ahead.
... the moron of a tank even had a cheek to ask for commendations for dragging me through, so I cursed him to only find WHM items in every dungeon he ran.
Its not like I expected them to accommodate me, I was willing to leave to accommodate THEM.
Even with skipping the cut scenes, I'm still a bit lost about CM and Prae. People just ran through it, didn't explain anything, and I just quietly followed. When I asked for boss fight explanations, just got told to kill stuff. I will always off-tank these two because I'm not confident enough to mt.
It might get better, the more I get them in roulette though. Even if I'm just blindly following the crowd, I get a better gist of what's going on with repetition. It just sucks when people are unwilling to explain or give advice, even when you directly ask them.
I've been in CM parties where the MT will leave 2-3 people behind and just start a boss battle cause he/she's god and doesn't need the full party. Some people just can't play well with others. Why they choose to play a MMO is beyond me.
Get over it. Prae is long enough already without the cutscenes. If there's a cutscene watcher in the group that insists on slowing down the run, I change to a bikini before cutscenes to ruin the immersion for them.
Accept the reality of the situation: the vast majority of players have already finished these dungeons. If you want a genuine story mode experience, then thats what the Party Finder was introduced for. You'll have to wait longer for people to join but thats the price for your immersion. If you announce to your server that you're doing a story mode run I'm sure you'll eventually fill it up, even if you have to bribe a few extra members. In all Duty Finder runs people will likely value minimum effort in minimum time for maximum profit. That is the nature of MMOs.

The party finder option has a 'Story-Emphasis'/'No skipping cutscenes' section, but since the main tutorial really only puts you through the DF menu, I doubt newcomers will use it. If you want to enjoy the cutscene, go ahead. There is more than 1 of every job in the party, the members who want to speed run can go kill trash or whatever without you if they're so inclined. But I agree it's rude to rush people through.

I run my i70 geared WHM through there and watch every cutscene start to finish. This is the culmination of the hard work players have put into their characters to get here and deserve to watch them, and if someone wants to make the run longer due to rushing and leaving me there with the few that are watching them, its on them. Not me. wanna farm, thats what AK and WP are for
How I see the new abilities:
Asylum - Get ready for my holy spam because that's the only healing you gonna get.
Aero III - I guess I should put some dots up before holy spamming.
Assize - I need more MP to spam holy even more, also stop getting hit in the face.
Tetragrammaton - I guess I should heal that tank now.
Stone III - There's less than 3 mobs left alive. - Ragns Meuhie
this is why I do these first time runs with a healer and/or tank friend of mine. you think you don't have to wait for me? that's too bad, my friends are more than willing to eat the 30 min penalty with me and you can wait for a new tank
(I know this doesn't help you much in your situation though, and I hope the people who did that with you get a groin kick soon)
note to self: add Jacian Daivik to friendslist![]()

I have done this a few times too, help someone and que with 4 people, sure, you can survive without one maybe, but without half the team? yupp yupp. I'm not a huge fan of abuse of any kind, and when I'm on my healer I have no problem with just letting you die when you speed while others are left behind, either. *cough*cough*
