    Well, yes. This. Nothing wrong with FATEs (not in the slightest, it is entirely personal opinion, and not at all objectively true or false.

    But yeah, more detailed events would be neat. The Halloween one was pretty cool, going to the three city-states and finding costumed imps, etc.

    I don't know what you're getting at, but I get the impression that you missed my point entirely.

    If anything, I want seasonal events lengthened. I commented on how the only thing you do for the seasonal events is camp fates. Nothing else. I would like to see far more than just a fate. As it is, the event is completed in an hour and a half, or less perhaps. After that, there is no reason to go back to it, none.

    There's just so much missed potential.

You do comprehend the amount of work required to do what you ask simply for transient events right?

    I have a love/hate relationship with fates. They have potential but they need some major revisions. I don't think they should make holiday events part of quests. Waiting for a fate isn't fun. Instead maybe just make the holiday event fate and be mentioned by a quest giver making it totally optional whether you do it or not. Offer and achievement or something for it.

    An idea for regular fates would be only have two per area. One small fate that's a chain of 3 or 4 that have some kind of purpose and then one big fate that would cover a very large area of the map and be epic in scale with varying mechanics and a ton of adds and can only be beat if you have at least 24 (3 teams of eight) participating. This would encourage people to group up and be social. Don't give a lot of xp for these. I think a large amount of gold and unique loot would be more of an incentive. Have the big one's spawn every 15 or 30 minutes after the end of the last one. An example for the big fates would go something like this. Titan (or some other unique monster) pops up in area as a precursor to the trial run and he does all his regular moves except he has adds pop everywhere. With every quarter of health that gets knocked out the adds get bigger and stronger. 24 people would be overkill for Titan but it's the adds you have to worry about.

    I did a sylph daily today that required a fate to complete.

    It took an hour to spawn, even when I tried clearing out as many fates nearby as I could.

    Terrible design
