I seriously hate the loot system for Crystal Tower.

I disagree. I like this system. A lot more than Coil's.

The problem for me is CT loot is not really worth a lockout. If Coil had CT's lockout system I think less people would be complaining - it would be more appropriate in Coil, imo. I like it better than Coil's too, but what's the point when Coil still exists as is? It's not like you can gear alts in any decent time, and at that point you may as well just leave them in DL.

I do still think it's stupid simply because of the amount of gear I've seen go to waste. People only lot on body/leg pieces because they're the biggest upgrade/most visible. I've even seen people laughed at for lotting on hands, because why would you "waste" your weekly lot on hands?

Crystal Tower is still very good gear. It has the following purposes:

1) Upgrade from Darklight for every single player
2) Best gear for those who are not planning to tackle The Binding Coil of Bahamut and are looking for fillers during the weeks it will take them to obtain the full relic gear set
3) Best gear for those who have several classes leveled and are in need of gearing subclasses while focusing myths/allagan on their main/mains
4) For those who care: vanity

While I do agree it that the restriction could be eased, if lifted, what would be the purpose of Darklight? What's the ilvl req. for Crystal Tower? Isn't it AK/WP/Hard Mode stuff? Can just jump Darklight if so. And we all know saying vanity and Darklight in the same sentence is impossible.
