I feel when tanking you are the boss not to be a dick about it but nothing worse than healers not doing there job or dps ninja pulling .. Your the first person they cry to when they wipe.. Ive never tanked before in a mmo ffxiv is the first and I've done so quite well but I feel the angry controlling tank is a product of the down right hero noob dps/healers that cause trouble.. I'm quite happy to tank low lvl instances to help ppl.. There's a point that ill just walk away from the group if there's to much bs and play dps class while I cool down

Tanks are usually the raid leaders and along with healing and depending on boss mechanics have usually the hardest job.

Yeah...thank goodness my FC has many awesome tanks so I do not have to play with the "other ones" very often. LOL

I know that feel dude, the bone dragon is just hilarious, there are something like 3-4 tanks that try to take aggro with the SAME skeleton tomahawking him and the other skeleton just kills healers with no problems. Or the tanks that pushes ONE time the tower and then go to """""""dps""""""". Maybe it's because i'm a tank, but i hate that dungeon

Its not just tanks or healers. there are plenty of baddies out there. You gotta kick them. they are not worth carrying. kick them to the curb and keep going. all they do is piss off the party and slow you down.

that's exactly why they separate JP and NA/EU to have different sets of servers. Because they grow tired of dealing with non-JP lol

I started as DPS, still play BLM as main but I'm leveling paladin right now. Having played DPS for so long, I understand their frustrations. When I'm tanking I do my best to hold aggro but rarely it is lost. Most of the time it's due to either me Derping out at the screen or the DPS hitting the wrong numbered mob. However, "everyone" has an Aggro bar visible. In the cases where everyone is doing the right thing and the DPS is still pulling aggro off me even though I'm doing everything I can to avoid it then they need to realize they need to back off a bit (which I've had to do as BLM) or suffer getting smacked upside the head.

What I hate most is people gaming the ilvl requirements. Had a blm in titan ex that had a mix of tanking/healing accessories.

Sorry but not all JP are good, most are. Ran Titan HM for quite a bit to get some titan weapons. Think the better ones went to farm EM primals and I miss those times where we could 1/2-shot Titan HM on a J pug.

NOT being elitist and expect everyone to be able to one shot titan, but I guess having simple expectations such as don't stand in the line of fire, being appropriately geared (3.1k WHM wearing ilevel 30+ accessories?) and don't start dying like ants not even half way thru the battle is normal?

If anything its a dig at the NA culture. Being an NA player myself I can't argue against his pov that a large portion of the community sucks. I'm certainly not going to defend us, lol.
