A princess bard is someone who knew that BRD was an unpopular job and used their job's rarity for political leverage in linkshells because BRD was outright required for almost everything in the game. People like Rhindas took it well enough, but some did abuse the hell out of it and knew they could hold parties and alliances hostage, and did.

Red Mages also ended up doing something similar, much to my own shame.
