So according to what you are quoting it has a multicore processor that is 45nm that has some embedded DRAM. How does that give you any sense if it will be better than the PS3/360? 45nm processors came out in 2008, so this is nothing new.Well official tech specs haven't been released yet but IMB are making the processor and they said:
They said it does 1080p and also takes SD and USB external HDD as additional storage. Devs have said it is a very capable console at the very least on par with the 360 and PS3 so should be able to run FFXIV.
Now if they can get this on the Wii U I would love it just think of the possibilities with that controller. You got the touch screen on controller which could have all your action bars and macro bars on so you can just quickly touch them. It could have a chat/keyboard button which would change the screen to keyboard layout so you can type out a message. It could house all your widgets and chat log so you to clear clutter up from your screen. You could put the mini map on it or your parties HP bars so you can keep a close eye on them.
I really think it could be great on the Wii U, of course the biggest problem would be getting SE to put all these idea's into action and not just do a straight port.
I didn't say that did, I said devs said "it was very capable and at the very least on par with the 360 and PS3" I was just watching GTTV and they were interviewing someone from EA who was asked if Battlefield would be coming to it and he said that DICE were looking at it and with the new controller and the power of Frostbite 2 they said they had some interesting idea's.
They also asked them how powerful it was and if it was as powerful as the PS3/360 and thats when he said it was at least on par and they had no problems with the machines capabilities.
well its gonna be stronger than the current generation of systems, if it has a HDD they can port it it over.
I don't see why not.
The second screen could be useful.
There's only 2 games for the new Wii U most of us wants, Zelda & Metroid Prime HD remakes, and possibly a new Metroid Prime game. (if only...)
So ya i agree, FFXIV should be PS3 & PC only.
I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...
the game needs to be completed for at least pc 1st , no?
I can't believe that people can't get over that fact that some of us weren't impressed with nintendo at E3. I also wasn't impressed with any of these supposed "hardcore" games.(matter of taste there on that one because I don't consider assassins creed is hardcore at all, its a pretty easy gaming franchise which has left me disappointed after the second installment)
I think its just funny we can't have a differing opinion, when I personally dont' care if you like the console why should anyone care if people don't. They spent most of their time on kids games, it was only after the 45 year old work out crowd bit (weigh yourself crap, yeah my mom is 50 and a personal trainer she's not using a wii and she's not watching e3 for that), that they finally got to "hardcore" games and I wasn't impressed. Its okay if other people are though because we all have different tastes, the only thing we should honestly have in common is "we like FFXIV to an extent" lol.
edit: the new controller seems awful for those of us used to our triggers where they are lol.
Supposed hardcore games? Really? Ninja Gaiden 3 is SUPPOSED to be hardcore? Assassin's creed too i guess is suppsoed and so is darksiders II.... i wonder what is so much more hardcore on PS3... oh wait....let me guess.. is is...Ninja Gaiden 3? Dude if you have nothing smart to say just shut up.
I don't see FFXIV being played on a controller.
Chances of seeing it on Wii U 0.0000000000000000000000000¼%
Well hardware only allows for the possibility, if the program isn't efficient enough, it will not work. I am still waiting to find a game that can bog my system down, though a horribly programmed black jack game could burn my system into the ground lol
