What part of his request was irrational? Double SMN is the most abusive comp in the game, and the main issue is that they have 3x insta-raise with 3 minute cooldowns.

I don't understand all this crying going on about smn lol Do you not realise that Swift cast has a 1min CD, meaning we cannot spam bind and resurrection like youre implying. Once per minute, and it's either or.
Disease wears off fast and builds resist, bind does too.
Pets can be slept, killed, weighed down etc.
SMN are really squishy, and if we can't get our DoTs up, we're not gonna do much damage.
I've had matches where the bard does nothing but interrupt every single spell I cast outside of that ability for pvp that let's you cast without interruptions.
Maybe it's cuz the majority of you come from WoW where pvp took 0 skill to play.
Coming from FFXI, where skill was extremely important and setting up strategies was key winning. You learn to adapt and come up with new ideas to cripple opponents strengths. I've gone up against what I can only imagine are fellow ffxi players that pretty much wipe the floor with me lol
What are the other members of your party doing? (Not pulling their weight I'm guessing)
You make it sound like it's just you vs. 2x SMN.
I've yet to enter pvp. Thanks, now I know how to kill everyone!! bwahahaha!!!

I normally run with a Monk and Dragoon combo and we beat double SMN the majority of the time. This is just a learn to play issue.
You gotta work with your team and use focus while playing to your group comps strength.
You're right it is a learn to play issue, but it's not on your side, it's your enemies. Double SMN should not be having any trouble with a MNK/DRG combo at all. DRGs can stay on them because of all their jumps but MNKs can be kited so easily... SO easily. Even if you kill a SMN they can raise enough times to be able to CC the MNK and pretty much make him blow all his CC breakers/immunity and take him out of the fight. Pretty convinced the SMNs you've been playing haven't been slowing/binding the monks as they should be.
Ugh, the forum has me at my "daily post limit." So I'm going to quote the guy who posted after me here...
In response to your question of what is my team doing... well. My healer is usually too busy trying to keep himself alive to use esuna to remove the miasma from me. Why is he so busy trying to keep himself alive? Because his heals are gimped... gimped by 50% to be precise since SMN also owns healers with a 50% healing debuff, so he has to work his butt off to heal people. A note here as well, if I have sprint on but miasma is on me, I will still run slower than people who have no sprint and no miasma, so even with sprint I'm not going to catch up to anyone. Miasma shuts me down completely and utterly unless I have shoulder tackle or purify. If it is double SMN there's no way my team can stop both SMNs from getting Miasma on me, it's hard enough to do that to one SMN.I'm not saying these complaints about PvP as melee classes are invalid or anything, but they always seem to be worded in a way that invokes the image of the OP alone vs 1-2 mages, with only the occasional vague mention of "the healer" and I'm left wondering, "So where are your 3 other team members?"
I haven't attempted PvP yet, but is it common in these fights for people to drop in and then just split off trying to do 1 v 1 against whatever target they want? I haven't PvP'd so I obviously have no idea, but it seems like if you're a melee fighter, you wouldn't want to go after a ranged fighter? Usually it's ranged vs ranged, melee vs melee. if a melee tries to go after ranged, the ranged runs away. If the ranged tries to target melee, one would think the enemy ranged would be pelting them, making them pay severely for it.
I guess I'd understand better if the teamwork used was included in the complaint so that it doesn't sound like people are hitting a brick wall by trying to use PvE tactics in PvP, or another MMO's 'PvP tactics' in this MMO's PvP.

I assume that you achieved a very high ranking in WoW right? Care to show us your WoW armory? If you want to insult people, try harder next time.
The OP didn't say that SMNs were invincible. They just have too many utilities packed in one class. Time will tell SMNs will need to be toned down but right now, they are the top dogs in arenas.
I sort of skipped some of the threads, but I will just say this...
for someone who is mainly PvE, I don't think we should get rid of PvP so easily, surely there are things aren't balanced, but I think SE should alter the skills only within the scope of PvP, do touch PvE content.
Many games have that feature, PvP with the same skills as PvE but with its own set of affects. I think this should be a good starting point.
