Still doesn't warrant a "Medica is useless". If you say Medica is not used as often in current end game content, ok sure. I personally prefer to use Medica in Coil unless shit hits the fan or during Enrage in T4 or for Fireballs in T5. Of course Medica II is much better - you are comparing a freaking lvl 10 with a lvl 50 skill.
After all noone gets born a lvl 50 with Medica II instantly..
But we digress also please let's not turn this into another SCH vs WHM thread?

Well that just sucks then because I'm not interested in the PvP side of the game, seems like its just going to be a wasted ability if only just for PvP. It would be better suited in PvE instead where it would be actually used by the healers throughout a fight for example pre battle and during a primal fight before/after the primal uses its special move.

I wanna drop by and say I believe the WHM should get some props, even the move back for how frustrating it is to level a WHM (if you're going the non-storyline route as an alt) and they should get something for it. How someone can spam stone, stone II, Aero and Aero II over and over again (considering its only Stone and Aero for a looooooooong time) the WHM's need something to give them the need to level to 50. I had to level my WHm 1 to 15 for my SCH and it was the worst time of my life playing a character. So boring, and really useless on it's own. Those are my thoughts but props to you WHM's! Hopefully this thread gets seen and considered!
I'd like to chime in here to state that your description of a WHM's healing method far varies from my own. There are many more instances where one should use Medica over Medica II. In your case, I would say that there are many instances where you're overhealing, of which is something I don't practice, personally.
Also, Cure III is never a free ability. You gain the proc of "Overcure" which guarantees that ability to heal crit, but it still costs MP. And as situational as Cure III is, there are many instances where an Overcure proc + Cure III is useful, just as a small example would be the Garuda fight where she's doing Wicked Wheel and there are a handful of melees all getting the business, toss an Overcured Cure III over and they're all happy again. Allows for one to keep their distance and not risk a friction being tossed on the rest of the ranged. (Granted this is just an example and I am aware that the damage is minimal, but as I said, it's an example.) In any case, Cure III is far from a useless skill however situational it is.
But I will agree that SCH is a much busier class than WHM, especially for those who manually control their pet abilities such as myself (which I would hope is the case with a majority of SCH healers.)
Granted, I miss Sacred Prism as an ability in our arsenal, but we've managed thus far without it. I don't see that it's an issue. Though, I have seen it in the PvP ability list in that one screenshot with the Warrior in it. I'm interested to see what applications it will have in PvP if the devs have managed to change it or something along those lines.
Well... "Common" sense isn't all that common anymore, now is it?
Personally, I think it'd make white mages a bit too OP. Would make stone skin too good, and regen a bit too powerful. Hell, don't even get me started with benediction.
After checking with the battle team, I'm afraid there are currently no plans to implement this ability back into the game.
