Oh god don't remind meOf course it is a bug, but pet bugs are in general considered too trivial for fixing. At least that was my impression on the 10 years I waited for spirit bug fixes.
I still remember how you had to basically aggro monsters to get your pet to cast at 0 recast, or they would reset to max recast delay on assault. "Working as intended" as said by any GM I tried to convince to highlight the problem.![]()
Bump because I think this needs to get some attention :/
Did some testing, pets are bugged:
When you summon pet, everything is grayed out.
If you use obey on an ENEMY, they become available but the pet stop following you..
Once you do that once, it will work fine until you resummon it.
This annoys me beyond words in pvp, if it dies, i have to spend 5 seconds getting it unbugged at the start of the fight.
Obey/Heel part is what i have been doing since before this fix to get Selene to not cast anything but embrace either manually or when placed so its nothing new to me.
Obey>Heel>Steady and you are set.
I was very confused when I tried PvP on scholar. I thought pets were blocked there or something, because I couldn't order my fairy nor did she seem to even use auto-embrace at any point. :S

SE needs to add /target pc so I can target my party and set her to "Sic" or "Obey". Also in "Steady" everything should be available to click.

So are we going to get any dev response from this ? None of this was in the patch notes and it's a huge pain in the butt to deal with. I can't imagine that this was actually intentional. And if it is, why would we need to target a mob to get the pet to obey the actual scholar ?

I really have little interaction with my fairy, but I was looking forward to stopping my pet from casting regen obsessively at the end of a pull and causing aggro issues. What I would really like to do is be able to set a priority system or scripts, but that is really asking far to much of an MMO. I think being able to specify auto abilities and manual abilities would be fantastic, I would definitely drop auto on standard heal and macro up the other abilities as additional casts for myself. But again, being able to use regen when it's useful instead of random full health drops is probably asking to much.
