That and being able to rearrange the pet bar buttons would be nice.

At least we can hide the pet hotbar now. That's what I did and then used another hotbar to arrange pet macros.

This can't be intentional making the pet system more clunky than before. The restriction of not being able to command your pet independent from it's current stance makes no sense whatsoever. Could we be please be able to switch into the "Obey" stance even if no enemy mob is present?

You are. You just need to use a stance, any will do.

I put her on Obey, then on Heel, so she follows me while saving the cooldowns.

It's a little annoying to have to use it at every wipe, though. I wish this was the default.
