I welcome the change. ( Adding 3 more tabs to the menu would only serve to clutter up the bottom right screen.)

Seems fine to me. Just take a few days to get used to it.
And use keybinds, lol
People really will cry about anything...
New menu is awesome. I disliked having 2 rows to clutter my screen, I definitely didn't want 3. It just takes some getting used to, and you should always keybind important menus anyway.

I would love to see a bar upper screen (like fubar did for WoW), and be able to customize things like token, gils, durability, and the full micro bar function.

Yeah but uhhhh I don't do PvP, I don't do things requiring parties, I can't buy a house (<_<), and I don't play on a 1280x720 screen. The -option- to use the previous layout would be kind of nice. With the PvP profile, party recruitment feature, housing menu, and commands added in 2.1, as well as the further increase of main commands in future updates, the original display of the main menu would increase to three rows, so we decided to modify the layout in this current patch. If it were the original 2 row horizontal layout, it wouldn’t fit on 1280x720 screens.
Also, only slightly off-topic... the 10 pages of new user macro icons are cool, but when will you give us macro icons for emote macros? I like to macro emote for RP with the "motion" subcommand to not bother other players' chatlogs, but all the macros for each emote come out with an ugly "M", and I can't tell each apart without a fitting icon, which is not there.
I can bear the new condensed menu without liking it, however,
I find that certain functionality of the old-style menu is gone,
namely - the Return cooldown timer - it's simply not there anymore.
This. Having to waste a hotbar slot just to see Return cooldown is the worst thing about the new menu.
+1 for config option to get the old menu back, too!
As Kayvindra noted, many of them end up bound to different commands for combat. Some shortcuts get the axe as a result. The 2.1 setup is too condensed in my opinion. Some happy medium should be found between 2.0 and 2.1.
Also, nice use of that hairstyle.![]()
