For the love of god people, this isn't a PS3 limitation because the PS3 can't even use the damn micro menu.

pretty sure it was a joke lol.
either way, i guess its the ffxi'er in me, but i cant remember a time ive ever clicked one of those buttons, other than before i thought to set teleport and return to a keybind. if this is an argument over convenience, dont use the mouse to click the button and just use the keybind. (i dont use a controller so im not sure if controllers can use the cursor)
It is a joke that only FFXI players would understand I guess lolpretty sure it was a joke lol.

I still haven't figured out to have everything work the way it did for me in FFXI.pretty sure it was a joke lol.

I'm playing on 1080p and that new micro menu is an absolute horror. I prefer 3 or even 4 rows than submenus any day. >_>

"If it were the original 2 row horizontal layout, it wouldn’t fit on 1280x720 screens."
I see the problem. I am happy to announce to you that we are no longer in the year 2001

That's the minimum TV resolution recommended to play the PS3 version. However, considering even new games that come out today for PC still support 720, I don't think you can complain too much.

Actually, some people in my FC who play this game do play on a monitor at that resolution. You rich people and your fancy computers. :P

I agree with everything mentioned here - when I saw the new 'streamlined' buttons-into-menu system, I groaned. It reminds me a little of the horrid slide-out menu 1.0 used and was such a drag to use. However, I mused the reasons for the change was SE probably thought it would be better to have the menu this way to make adding new menu functions and selections easier. And sure enough, Camate's post confirmed that. So although I don't like the change, I understand SE's reasons for doing so. Ah well, like all things, I'll get used to it eventually.
Actually, 1280x720 is the official minimum screen resolution supported by ARR, so naturally their GUI design has to reflect this limitation. Not everyone has a high end machine running multiple HD widescreen monitors you know.

I love the new micro menu. I always felt the original was a little too cluttered. Now each button has a category where you can perform specific functions relating to that category.
