Ain't log in or anything but I do believe DRG's can jump at people anyways...Also, you can throw things.
I would imagine Monk's having a terrible time.
Did MNK's zoom out though?
[Sorry, I had to say it once.]
Monks have it worse. This has nothing to do with skill. I just posted a video here showcasing my games. It has to do with unintentional deadzone effects due to latency and range checks.
Melee attack range was increased in ff11 ballista to accomodate this
guess Yoshida didn't learn much from Tanaka in that regard.

Have you not seen the moves given to melee? Monks even get a snare that stuns/stops sprint when hitting them from behind! only takes maybe 6-10 fights to get rank 3 and pick one up!
ps. there are some to remove/immune to stun/sleep/bind/heavy etc. as well.
Look at your actions skills under your PvP profile.
Must really suck trying to get a skill off and having it fail huh :P
It's not so much a positional issue as it is a server character placement issue. You can be standing literally inside someone running with them and still be told you're out of range.I only did PVP in the beta since i'm still at work, but uhh can't DRG just you know, jump on them? for MNK i just used fists of wind and ran a lil bit infront of my target to hit them if shoulder tackle wasn't up, it's a learning curve working with positional updates. Granted BLMs are hard/annoying to kill to begin with XD
It's an issue in all pvp, which is why ranged classes will always dominate the scene.
