    FIX Melee DEADZONE

You were warned ahead of time that ranged will dominate PvP due to melee's susceptibility to deadzoning. It is absolutely horrendous. Playing catch-up 80% of the time isn't 'fun' in the slightest. Give melee (BOTH MNK AND DRG) a 50% snare or increase the range on ALL melee attacks by 1.5 - 2 yards.

As it stands, melee is bottom tier in comparison to all ranged classes. Simply for this reason at how ridiculously easy it is to kite them.

I only did PVP in the beta since i'm still at work, but uhh can't DRG just you know, jump on them? for MNK i just used fists of wind and ran a lil bit infront of my target to hit them if shoulder tackle wasn't up, it's a learning curve working with positional updates. Granted BLMs are hard/annoying to kill to begin with XD

There are just as many posts about melee being fine as there are saying they are not. While I have yet to play with my DRG buddy, the issue might be behind the keyboard.

I never had a problem with dead zones as a Dragoon. Maybe something is wrong with you to be honest. As a melee you are supposed to play the chase game with casters. Thats how it worked.

You guys are talking about dragoons here lol.
Ofc Draggons don't have troubles with deadzone, they have freakin' spears...
We're whining about the monks, the paladins and maybe even the warriors.
As i tried with Monk, i can assure you the ten times i tried to use a skill on a running guy, it got interrupted. And i don't see how i, myself, am the problem in that.
Also, the lag issue on EU servers makes it way worst.

Also a monk here, I'd literally be on top of a player about to kill them, and then all of a sudden they move just a bit and I can't use my last skill on them. There will be times I'm running with them, right on top of them, and I spam the animation for my skill and keep seeing it go off halfway only to be stopped... over and over. It is bad enough that if I face a team that has Black Mage and Bard for example I can expect to be bound or slept 75% of the time, but to also sometimes not be able to get my attacks off while right on top of them sometimes, quite frankly, sucks. I've had them teleport to a different area of the map at times when I'm attacking them as well, I can only assume this is lag related.

P.S. If your internet happens to disconnect you while you are in an arena match you are locked out of the Wolves Den for 30 minutes.

It may look on your screen as if you are in range, but because of lag between the time you press your attack and when it "should" go off, the emeny has already moved just out of range. Its would be pretty common if you were trying to chase someone without any speed debuffs or if you had any on yourself.

Does Wolve's Den have the faster position check? Because just by looking at the way people randomly magically glide across screen while you're following the FATE zerg should tell you that your client has a very poor idea of where anyone else is at the moment, so it'd hardly be surprising that melee attack fail to connect. Even if you're as fast as the opponent, it'd still be hard to hit them when your screen is wrong. Ranged do not suffer from this because if you start out far enough away, then your opponent is almost certainly still going to be in your frontal arc even with lag.

NO, you are incorrect, before you say something try to melee in pvp, it is near impossible, ESPECIALLY with monks.
