probably because the last patches have been so content poor, that people are expecting some magic patch that shows everyone what they ve been doing for the last 9 months.Yes I think he will deliver, but that's just me. I personally believe that 99.9% of this community will never ever be happy with anything the dev team does. They'll ALWAYS find something to bitch and moan about.
As for being some kind of saving grace, second coming kind of patch? No. Why do people expect so much out of a single damn patch?

Why do people keep saying 9 months the new team has been working on their own stuff for 4 months not nine <.<. You cant say they have been working on this stuff for nine months when Yoshi dropped most of the stuff Tanka was doing.
because the new team isnt really important, they were still building off the old product, there should be a lot of locations, gear skills etc that they can take peices of, you hire someone new to be more effecient. All their progress should be the total of the progress to date. FFXI changed teams and employees a couple times, but they still made the product fairly consistently. Same can be said for multiple games. Long life games change teams a number of times and they are still expected to show progress and synegize with whatever came before them.
Because their beliefs and desires are more important than reality.
Players Poll # 2, which was an input to the battle system changes, started on February 18.
3.5 months ago. The new battle system is due 4 months after design inputs were solicited.
