    Spellcast Animations

    I don't know If SE is thinking to change this with the implemention of Job System but, don't you think it's boring or whatever you want to say, that ALL the races and ALL the classes, casts spells the same way??

    I liked in FFXI (please, /rage mode OFF) that every race and every job casted in different ways.

    Cast animations of Elvans was awful xD but still, it was different.

    I would like they to change that too ^^

    Wouldn't that involve more mo-capping?

    I think the most we can expect out of them are changed spell charge up effects.

    Elvaans had awesome cast animations!

    I was disappointed when I found many animations were kept similar between the races, casting being a big one.

    Mo-cap isn't as much of a challenge as it seems. Certainly easier than animating by hand.

    READ last Producers letter i believe in their they said they adding in animations to spells. So yes SE thinks theirs not enough animation in the game also.

    Mo-cap is the best and quickest way of doing animations, the issue is syncing particle effects that takes a bit of time given the nature of XIV's system where the effect comes from you rather than in XI for example it just materializes at the target.

    Pretty much this.

    Everyone cares about it but is has already been addressed. So can't complain now until SE adds the new animations in, considering that they already agreed with us.
