Botting I would think is more from normal players than RMT, RMT have very little reason to exist in FFXIV. They would of stockpiled enough gil by now "just incase" but thats about it.

FFXIV in it's current state is very difficult to play and certainly not pleasurable, as such botting lets people level without having to force themselves to put up with the game. There are also quite a lot of ex XI players that really don't care for the grind and just want to get to the finishline, as such they will bot making money, farming and leveling as much as possible.

Complaining about botting is kinda silly, the devs have so many things to worry about right now as to if the game will ever ever be able to turn itself around.. let alone worrying about people using aps. Honestly that is the last thing on their minds right now, if they do turn it around it will bite them on the ass but the chances of that scenario are far from great. It's like worrying about how you're gonna pay your credit card bill as your hanging off a cliff with one arm.

i reported a bot on Figaro yesterday doing the exact same thing. I got a GM reply asking me to report it to the special task force, which I don't think is necessary.. seeing as I reported it to a GM already. they could simply forward it to the STF.

lol without reading most the posts and just watching the video... it's amazing, 8 months? into game people are engaging a mob in another room and then trying to claim a second mob while saying a bot is taking thier claims.... learn that you can only have one mob claimed in a party please before you record your idiocracy.

While i fully agree these bots are bad... it's not an "ultimate" bot that steals your claim...

Yellow named mobs will not yield exp/sp nor are they claimed when yellow...

I will point out the first problem you had in why GMs wont do anything about it

its not up to the GMs to do it, report it to the task force already with afull explenation, and give them every name youve caught doing it

Square have said time and again they have no way to prove if people bot claim NMs, so no matter what they do about these leveling bots adding new NMs like that will see claim bots back. Which is why they won't add free spawn NMs like those ever again.
