I agree, I play with a small group of RL friends, we are on balmung server and the smallest house plot alone is 20million Gil. We are all very upset as all 6 of us alls saved a mil each over a few months thinking we'd have enough for a bigger house, but..nope. The game feels like it doesnt really cater to 'small' groups. But only the MAX SIZED SUPER FC's.

Okay, the price will go down to 10 million in a few months, by that time you'll have saved enough money for it. With the new dailies/treasure hunts you might be able to own a medium sized house by then.

It seems to me that the main issue people have is that they won't be able to buy the biggest house on day 1, I don't see that as an issue personally. I like it when games present a challenge.

You know what I loved? My mog house in Final Fantasy XI. I made tons of furniture for it, it was beautiful, I had great fun with that feature.

Know when it was available? Launch.

Know how much it cost? Nothing.

To be fair, it was the only thing with longevity that wasn't artificial - How likely are you to spam Pharos? HM dungeons? Primals after you're all said and done? CT has a loot lockout which artificially extends its lifespan, housing was originally going to be the one thing that stands the test of time. Even TH will be done fairly quickly given the 18 hour lockout there will be a finite supply when people sell maps.

EQ2 and Rift have the best housing I've seen in MMOs. If it's really that important to some people they could try out those games?

FFXI has more content than any game I can possibly imagine, or even dream of. It's age and UI is about the only thing against it.

Well one thing about Wildstar you should know is that the game will have a Main story Quest that players will be capable of soloing.

Problem is that the Main Story Quest cannot be accessed until you're max level because Main Story Quest is a Solo endgame content.

I've been playing MMOs since 2000. there's only one MMO I've played and liked in the past that ACTUALLY 'didn't make it'. the chronicles of spellborn. all the other games I played for a while - and sometimes play again - still exist and are doing well enough. (I have no interest in ever going back to some of them but I could if I wanted to)

one game I was always 'sort-of' interested in but not enough to play, is very currently 'dead'. Warhammer Online. (nobody even cares, even though this is the game that brought us Rifts/Hearts/FATEs)

ARR will make it. now hush.
