I have multiple people in my small fc that can afford a large plot at the start. its not hard to make gil in this game mainly because this is the first big thing to spend it on.

Considering they accounted the economy (basically current gil in circulation) and non-legacy worlds is fairly low..that's not saying much because Diabolo's Large is still fairly low in price compared to Legacy. So you're telling me you have a few people floating around with 625+ million in your FC?
Diabolo's Large:
Large 100,000,000 106,250,000 112,500,000 118,750,000 125,000,000
Legacy 1 Large:
Large 250,000,000 265,625,000 281,250,000 296,875,000 312,500,00
Legacy 2 Large:
Large 500,000,000 531,250,000 562,500,000 593,750,000 625,000,000
So yeah, "gil isn't hard to make", that's true..but I'm sure a handful of people in a FC on certain clusters don't have that much gil laying around, or then again...when SE did RMT sweeps and got rid of billions of gil, some that complained were from non-legacy worlds...it makes more sense now...![]()

The very worst plot of land on Gilgamesh (and it's attached servers) costs 8,000,000gil... Which, while not the most expensive is far out of the range of the FC's that would want a small house (the 6-10 region); I'm sorry, but the average player does not have millions of Gil to donate and shouldn't be expected to have that much. The cost should be in building the house up, not getting the land.
I'm fine with having to put in effort for housing, but when you compare XIV's housing system to others.. one of Square's "Big things" of XIV falls flat.

i think so too !
houses are expensive to live in.
is it mission impossible?
It becomes the uproar in Japan.

Exactly, he told us all about the houses, and omitted the obscene barrier to entry with plots....misled is the appropriate word. He made it seem cheaper than it is.
There are two parts to owning house. The expensive part and the cheap part. He only mentioned the cheap part, to make it sound more appealing.
Besides, he also said after that you'll be buying up more land. Who is going to be doing that exactly?

First off that quote is so old, it doesnt apply anymore. They could not have known how gil seller would ravage the economy and how easy people would make gil. Second, it states HOUSE in the quote not LAND but HOUSE and a house cost 60k.

but can you prove to me, without any doubt, that the prices of a plot of land were set, as they are now, at the moment of Yoshi's statement of housing prices?No... Do you not realize that you can mislead by omission as well as by what you say?
If my wife asks me where I've been, and I say "the library", I may be telling the truth, because I stopped there for fifteen minutes on my way home. But I'd be misleading her, because I spent two hours having an affair at my secretary's house, which I omitted from my account. I have mislead her with an incomplete truth.
