The Lore Train at Gamer Escape is a whenever-we-feel-like-it periodical that focuses entirely on interesting lore tidbids, be they born of developer posts, interviews, independent research, or collaborative projects. The OP of this thread will simply be a list of posts, but feel free to chat about them below, as well. I'll be around, and I'm sure Fusionx will pop in on occasion, too.

What I found interesting is that they named him Acheron. That is the Eureka pallet-swap of the FFIII boss, Hetachonchries. Likewise they have named Amon rather than Hein, who is also a Eureka pallet-swap.

Oh, and Acheron looks like a bleedin' gigas to boot.

Funny you should say that, really. Fusionx and I were discussing how Acheron is really the only name they could have gone with, considering Titan is already a primal and Hecatonchier is already a mob species (Genus Gigant has three Species: Gigas, Giant, and Hecatonchier). Also interesting, one levequest, Who Writes History, deals with a Gigas, Okeanos the Red, who claims that he's a descendant of the Allag and demands the Gigas take back and reconsecrate Silvertear Falls. Makes you wonder if SE are making commentary on the names or if there actually is a link...

Fusionx (@ROFLDRG) browses these here forums on occasion and got really into our discussion about the nature of primals, summoning, and what it might mean for the Twelve. After letting his own thoughts marinate for a few weeks, he's thrown together a new Lore Crafting piece (Lore Crafting being different than The Lore Train in that we discuss unanswered questions, possibilities, and fringe theories as opposed to mind-blowing confirmed canon). To accompany that piece, he and I got together for a very informal episode of Aetheryte Radio to b.s. about all the things. Seems like something I should throw on the list...

I just finished listening to the lorecast and I had so many ideas and questions pop into my head...I loved listening to it, so thank you guys so much for making them! (And you two have very lovely voices!)

Super delayed reaction getting the gil revelations up, but I really wanted to tie it into what the Autumn War actually was. Lot of people are surprised to learn that the alliance originally formed to fight Ala Mhigo itself, not the Empire who'd conquer it...
