Steam OS FFXIV Install?

Unfortunately not.

I will hold off on one then till I see list of confirmed games. Till then my pc hooked to my tv will do.

I guess I should clarify a bit. You will not be able to NATIVELY run Windows games on a machine running SteamOS. Steam has said they will be updating SteamOS sometime in the future to allow you to "stream" games from your Windows-PC to the SteamOS, but how well this will work with high end games is still anyone's guess. I imagine that Valve must have faith in the idea because they believe it can work and, if that's the case, then I have faith in them to figure it out. But for now and the foreseeable future, you cannot run Windows-PC based games on SteamOS.

However, SteamOS will soon support seamlessly streaming your games from your Windows computer; watch this page for more information about the In-Home Streaming Beta.
